At first I thought I was enjoying this for the dancing, but then I realized
I’m way more interested in the fashion that was going on during this era.
Some of the outfits have me cracking up. LOL
Who is the guy at 39:39? He was always on this. Rosie Perez makes the
weirdest faces. Most of the girls only have one move. In the 70’s it was
more about dancing. In the 80’s it was about super tight dresses & less
dancing. In the 70’s they took time & choreographed more.
Pure Soul & Energy. Right about 6:02 I suddenly anticipated the music
artists “Gregory Abbott” to join in and carry away big bird…ha ha. He
can still keep up with these young people. Al Jarreau & George Benson too,
they can boogie down too. A great of Soul Train dancing. Gregory Abbott
performed his famous “Shake You Down” Hit on Soul Train. Thank you big
time for sharing!
What was up with the tall Puerto Rican guy in the shades who was too cool
to dance and macked the ladies or high fived the guys or showed off his
chest? He was too crazy!
Just noticed it’s the same chosen few dancing, Imo the earlier version of
soul train with the one with the really simple yellow train intro and
segway animation was much better everybody danced the line and less pro
styled dance routine dancing
I just wonder where are all these dancer today?
What happen when the kids of these dancer saw it.
How would they react? I really wonder the kids expression on their faces?
,
This is the Soul Train I remember. Some of these outfits people would still
rock today and no one would bat an eye. Just goes to show we are constantly
recycling…
Bottom line…what is life if you’re not enjoying it! I was inspired as a
little girl…watching Soul Train growing up was what I look forward to
every week. In my early 20’s I had the honor to meet some of the best and
sincere friends who welcomed me with love to Los Angeles! I am who I am
today because of experiences like this!!! Hats off to the Legend Don
Cornelius!!!
Me at 107,27 with the suit on the right but never got chance to dance. More
smoking hot lady’s on that set then any other in Hollywood-land back then.
Now… not….

They filmed some of these lines in the same day, because the dancers are
wearing the exact same clothes in different lines.
The woman on 0:37-0:47 has the real thing! she doesn’t have chicken fillets
down her top and she doesn’t wear a push up bra!
0:36 please come and take me away.. 43:42 Rosie Perez
In This Clip, From 3:21 To 6:29, The Soul Train Dance Line Segment Came
From That “Soul Train” Episode On October 25, 1986.
Rosie is such a standout
What was the song that started on 22:26? Sounded a little like Scritti
Politti, but I can’t find it myself.
12:18 HOT AS LAVA BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Run DMC, Houdini, Rosie Perez, I wonder how many young actors or actresses
got their chance to shake it up on Soul train that year

Somehow the dude with the red shorts and looking cool just do not go
together well. At all.
I wish the world was like the Soul Train dance line. Where everyone can
showcase all the good in them and not stand in each others light.

I MISS MUSIC LIKE THIS ;(
rosie perez @3:24
Horrible dancing and all the guys are feminine.
Great moves. This is how it more or less looks after a while on most
office parties around the world. Save for the fashion. Ha
this is gold
does any1 know the song at 48:50
I love this period.
GREAT
my lord….did we actually used to look and dance like this???? I was a
teen in the 80s….this mess is too hilarious!!
Jheri curls and shiny suits! ^5
Actress Rosie Perez 9:12
I…I have no idea what I’m doing with my hands. Over one hour of bad
outfits and bad dancing.
Song starting at 3:21?
2:20= big bird on the top, cookie monster on the bottom.
70’s dance music was way better….
I think hip hop and rap put an end to the party.
Did anyone notice Actress Rosie Perez at 3:15?
rosie perez 19:14
have anyone noticed that they guys had more hip, hand, and waist movements
than the ladies, mmmm? they get so much into it damn
Go rosie girl!
