So was Don Cornelius an ass? -no disrespect intended – RIP Don– just
curious as a fan but ignorant of behind the scenes stuff — yet curious —
I guess Rosie threw a chicken leg at him—I think i need to read Rosie
Perez book,,
Mary Wilson was such a beauteous, lovely, fun-loving lady! I sat at a table
with her & her Dominican boyfriend one evening at a party for hours. She
was simply so much fun! 🙂 🙂 🙂
She was married to Leon Russell, they did a Wedding Album…… beautiful
music, rare album. (Hope I got that right)
Thanks for sharing this. I used to love those Saturdays, blacknwhite TV
barely getting the channel thru a coathanger antenna, Soul Train coming on
after the WB cartoons. Cereal boxes (the good kind with the now-obscene
word SUGAR in their name!) with Jackson 5 records on the back you’d cut out
with scissors…. the dancers on the show were phenomenal and Don was THE
coolest dude.

What? Where is the street language? No cursing? Well-dressed, well-spoken
respectful black people on TV?
I don’t know why he did that drop move at 5:05, but he almost didn’t get
back up LOL.
Although both hosts of a dance show, neither Don Corneiluis or Dick Clark
could dance worth a shit.
