Anyone know her? She’s a talented female/girl dancer who danced in the mid 70’s, who I dont know, but her dancing caught my eye. She was an athletic, creative, smooth, pat davis style type dancer. I believe she may have been in a soul train dance contest. Help solve this mystery of who this girl is.

design17 says:

No, No, No. This is is not Lisa Jones. This girl is someone else. She was
always confused with Freddie Maxie. Butterfly girls were: Pat Davis, Fawn
Quinones, Freddie Maxie and Lisa Jones.

MrMaxismybaby says:

I think the girl is Pat Davis. But, she might be Fawn Quiones, Shabadoo
Quiones’s sister. But girl were lightskinned. But, I think Fawn was
taller/more slender.

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

This isn’t Crystal McCarey. Crystal could never dance like this. Crystal
was one of those late 70’s/80’s nasty female dancer. Besides this girl is
shorter than Crystal.

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

Thanks a lot. I just love sharing black entertainment with people,
especially stuff that people may not know about.

cleanupboy73 says:

or Lisa Jones one of the butterfly girls or either Freddie Maxie

OldskolFan says:

They tried to clone PD but that is a poor imitation imo?

checkyoself131 says:

I might be wrong, but it may be Lisa Jones, she was a butterfly girl.

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

No it isn’t Freddie. I’m sure. I know Pat, Freddie, and this girl kind of
resemble each other though. I had a video on Freddie, that I will have to
put back up.

PuckDaddy12 says:

I thought you were talking about the dude jumping and kicking the entire
time. What was that guy doing?

KENNETH FUNNIE says:

I would like to saythe golden day dancers to the present dancers on
soultrain job well done. You all displayed the best dance moves and fashion
for the young black woman and man. Without this show i don’t know where we
would have been THANKS.

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

I’m very familiar with Pat Davis and Fawn. This girl is neither one, though
she does kind of resemble Pat, but she is lighter than Pat and shorter than
Fawn. I’ve seen her in an episode dancing next to Pat, so that let me know
it wasn’t Pat.

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

could you send me the link to the video? I can try to answer it.

D Taylor says:

Her name is Crystal McCarey. She danced on Soul Train from this time on
till mid to lat 90’s. If you type in her name again in the search field
along with tribute it should pull her up along with Niecy Payne, Derek
Fleming, Cheryl Song and some of the other dancers.

Shane Simpson says:

Who was front and centre between soul and train signs at the very start of
this video?

ccth22 says:

Great channel…question for U…steve3ri has a channel with the gang
coming down the line to ojays love train. Who’s the girl at 0:10 in the tan
outfit? she can dance her tail off

checkyoself131 says:

No, that’s not Fawn Quinones.

tracey mallard says:

are you sure it wasnt Damita jo Freeman?

vickyh966 says:

Lisa Jones

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

Let me know what episodes.

MsTexas73 says:

That’s not Connie Blakino.

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

She is.

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

Damita Jo is taller and brown-skinned

cleanupboy73 says:

I think it’s Fawn Quinones Shabadoo’s sister “THE MARVIN GAYE BUTTERFLY
GIRL!

MsTexas73 says:

Nope. Not Lisa Jones either.

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

I heard Pat had a sister but I thought she was way younger, a baby in the
70’s.

lyslinger says:

i believe that connie blackino

MusicandDancing4Ever says:

Her name is Lisa Jones. One of the butterfly girls, a regular in the 70s.

almondy1963 says:

I still feel that Dymita Jo and Pat Davis were two of the best female Soul
Train dancers. The girl dsncing in the yellow always seemed to dance a
little off beat to me.

queenofweaves916 says:

I don’t know who she is. But I love your channel. Thank you for putting
this together. I love soultrain and have always wanted them to do a where
are they now. I’m 40 and I grew up watching it every Saturday morning. And
I love your classic black videos too:-)

I says:
