Jackson appeared with an injured foot and on crutches, but was able to perform the song seated in a chair, surrounded by dancers.
‘Remember The Time’ was rehearsed for Jackson’s Dangerous World Tour concerts, but was not performed due to wardrobe malfunctions. During his HIStory World Tour concerts, clips from ‘Remember The Time”s short film were used as an interlude.

Michael Jackson our King Of Pop performed magnificently with a sprained
ankle. I am always amazed with how the fact that with Michael the show must
go on regardless of the circumstances he faces. I witnessed moments of
severe pain during this performance. This performance excels well beyond
the highest accomplishment. Michael showed GREAT determination. I am very
proud of Michael and I love him with all my heart!

Yes, even though he couldn’t get up and dance, you can tell he thoroughly
enjoyed being in the show. He did look like he really wanted to dance… he
can’t help it… it was in his blood! It was still a great show, even
though he had to sit down! You know that everyone loved it!
I remember seeing this award show when I was a kid and it made me soo
happy. Thanks for uploading this. brought back memories of my childhood. my
mom recorded it for me and i lost it somehow thru the years. touched my
heart.
