I DONT NO YOUR AGE…BUT IF YOU ARE IN YOUR LATE 30’S THRU 40’S…IF THEY
WERE TO BRING IT BACK, I DON’T THINK IT WOULD BE THE MAGIC LIKE FROM 86 TO
89. BUT FOR ANY TEENAGER NOW, IN THE FUTURE (2030-2032), WHEN THEY REFLECT
BACK TO 2012…IT WOULD BE THEIR MAGIC…MY LORD TIME FLIES…..
It was great to see how the dancers are doing today. This is the first time
I ever heard Sally speak. She is really a beauty. Is there any way a guy
could get an introduction? She still looks great.
Asha, I love this! You did a great job. Although I danced on Soul Train in
what would be its final years, I am blessed to know all of the dancers
interviewed for this piece. Well done!
what ever happend to the long hair asian chick.. the one who’s primary
dance move was playing with her hair.. she was awsome.. I wonder if
Shalamar will be part of the documentry.. hope so
I’m 21 and I wish I was that age in ’89. Music was so much better during
that time period. It was very cool to see the dancers interviewed! Keep up
the good work Asha!
That was awesome, it was so cool to hear a little of the history of the
people who gave the soul to soul train! You hear the stories about dancers
who were just there to be used and abused, so to see the joy that the soul
train dancers had every time they stepped up, very heartening. Kudos Asha!
OH and I JUST told my daughter and her friends *who are all 13*..that what
they call the jerk or the reject is what we called the backwards Running
Man and the Roger Rabbit. And then had to show them those dances and the
REAL Jerk from the 60s.
the 80s dancers then and now. this is exactly what i wanted to see.
everybody looks great. juliette haggerman still looks lovely. and the
ultimate duo rick carson and manuel reed were my favorite. i hope there
will be more videos like this. 80’s all the way!! thank you for posting
this.
-Derek looks like Jeffrey D…are they sure they have the right clip? -ha
ha ha I remember the spank!!!! -Tom and friend still looking like pimps/
thugs. lol – Hey where’s the original Asian girl dancer and the one chick
that wore a chain on the side of her face?! They were my favorite dancers.

I grew up also waiting impatiently for Soul Train to come on on Saturday
morning, Id watch my cartoons first, get those in, then Soul Train would
come on and my living room became a dance floor and my momma, father,
sister, brother, everybody would be dancing! Soul Train had something for
everybody!
I grew up, waiting every Saturday for Soul Train to come on; I got all of
