Why is this coming from Japan or China? This is American! It’s hard to find
the complete box set to this awesome tv show. I love Sly and the Family
Stone. I think sly was so talented… beyond words. This was an Awesome
band, you won’t see this great stuff today! Now your entertainment is junk
…like chris brown and rihanna.
It just doesn’t get any funkier than this baby ya dig…..
Sweet n soulful Thanks to Sly and the family
I had no idea the this type of music existed in the ’70’s. Disco Larry 124
you have truly educated a planet on what music should be and moving it is.
Thank you SO MUCH for this vlog. YouTube is kicking butt these days.
Back in the good-‘ol days!!!
Drummer, Bill Lordan, replacing Andy Newmark in Sly’s group, is most famous
as the drummer for Robin Trower (Procol Harem), replacing Reggie Isadore on
Bridge of Sighs, LP#2. He played with Trower and formed the supergroup,
BLT in the mid 80’s; (Jack) Bruce (formerly of Cream), Lordan, and Trower.
This particular version doesn’t have the strong bass guitar emphasis that
the LP has. Rusty did a great job of coming up with the signature hook for
this song. And everyone said the group would die after Larry Graham left
to form Graham Central Station. The doubters were wrong!

Classic! I love Sly. The message, the music, the groove, It was special.
Everybody is a star.
Very cool
He is a true master of his craft, a craft that he created!!! This entire
band was extremely talented and brave being the trailblazers that they
were. I love it to this day!!!
SLY
Where’s Larry G.?
Sal Filipelli & Sly Stone “One More Hit”
What a voice
I think this music hits the spot being so “alive”. But it is clear he is
under influence of heroin. Not judging or anything. It is just a fact that
we have to relate to. Clapton was on heroin too. It is just such a great
performer drug. But there is of course a price in the end.
Instead of judging performers for being on drugs we should instead thank
them for being willing to go all the way to be the best they can possibly
be :)
*sly & the family stone – if you want me to stay / stand! (live)*

I like Sly, but he looks like a 40 year old woman in this clip.
What a sexy man and husband he probably was but drugs #####that up! Good
music from around the way!!!
Such a great song in the first place, and that extra chillness they bring
to it live is really cool.
