James Brown restera mon idole !
@mariabbb1964 well you know some folks cant cope. he also was told he only
had weeks to live because of the terminal cancer and he didnt want his ex
wife to get the insurance. so he figgured if he killed himself the
insurance company would not pay off. what he didnt know is they do Pay off
if the policy is over two years old which it was. too bad he didnt leave
his son as Sold beneficiary. after all they were divorced.
The wide shot of James, his horn players and all of the dancers at 5:45 is
epic!! It’s impossible to watch this without moving. Seeing stuff like this
makes me think I was born 20 years too late. 😉
This is just classic. I remember watching Soul Train as kid, way cooler
than American Bandstand. Plus this is live, not lip synced. This white kid
learned to get funky with a little help from my friends.
That was the first Soul Train episode I saw when it aired on WTVD-TV in
Durham,NC in 1973. It brought memories. I like to know who sang the first
Soul Train theme? Don Cornelius was a pioneer and would be sorely missed. I
remember footage on TMZ a few years back and saw Cornelius was walking like
a man ten years older.
first off no i would and two the reason he was on pills because of pain he
suffered went the fire from the Pepsi comericals you idiot! if you knew
anything about the jackson clain MJ copy JB’s moves now neither wasn’t
perfect but who isn’t? no your facts before you run your big trap! pal! ok
God bless you have a nice day
Pocha vlw, é meio difícil de valoriza a minha época, já que tudo gira em
torno de putaria, droga, lixos sonoros e todas essas parafernálias, mas eu
tento, Ajudou sim podecrê (:
How true. Like James Brown, He basically adopted conservative values and
utilized his God-given talent by producing a service which benefitted
millions! Unlike most blacks today who are trained to view themselves as
“perennial victims” of racism who can’t get ahead without the aid of
government dependency, both men vociferously rejected the soul-crippling
philosophy of “compassionate white liberalism” which is centered on abject
failure!
@druhbe1996 ANYTHING live by James Brown sounds a trillion times better
than the studio recording. I found this out after buying some compilition
CDs in 1992 after I watched The Commitments.
This can’r be from 1971. It has to be from at least 1972 and probably 1973
because ‘Get On The Good Foot’ and ‘King Heroin’ didn’t come out until 1972.
Original broadcast date = February 10, 1973
Good

. . . which led into “Make It Funky.”
Thank you for posting this. I am the biggest James Brown fan I know. Keep
em’ coming!
Forty years later and the funk still crawls up your spine, takes control of
your nervous system and makes you move.
Oh, my GOD… Look at it. THIS is real music. THIS is real talent. LISTEN
TO THAT. Young bucks have NO clue what to do with this.

Well, he was pop’ ping pills. If he were alive to day, you’d probably be
one of the many who made fun of Jackson. He was a freak…keep it real!

How realism can really be..
Now That is PURE FUNK, the hardest working man in show business. That is
where Michael Jackson got all his moves from James Brown the original.
I watch this and wonder how in Gods name we went from this, and ‘Fight the
Power” to n’s and hos? God help us.
JAPANESE? WHY?
LOOK @DONs AF’FRO….THANKS JB&DON…BLOVE
which song do U say is not his song/composition? 🙂

I feel sorry for those individuals. I rest my case.

How is a diss…it’s an observation..
Do you realize the funkiness of this?
I remember i was supposed to see him for the FIRST TIME at B.B. Kings House
of blues in NYC….and he PASSED AWAY…i was SO MESSED UP about that !!
