Don Cornelius disrespected the hell out of Kurt after this performance.
Telling him how he don’t see this art form going very far, blah blah. THe
look on Kurtis face was of ridicule and embarrassment. Don was an asshole
for that and I looked at him different since seeing that a fe years ago on
a hip hop special on VH1
I love how the hand claps are slightly out when the music kicks in,but
quickly adjust!! This show was so badass…where else could you hear the
song Scorpio with a minute long solo,no vocals, and people rocking out? DC
produced it,so he did what he wanted.
ah the 80s when there was no hate in rap…. kb’s tape was great all the
way through….
the only one hating was actually Don C. who although he let rappers on his
show … did say during the interview with rappers … that rap wasn’t
really music….. still he said it in a way that it was ok.
and now look where rap is…. maybe there will be a retro period soon.

I remember this after he’s done Don C interviews him. Don was such a
asshole to Kurtis saying how he hates rap music.
With eighteen phone calls to Brazil.
Old School-Kurtis Blow.
I meant the very early 80s….
Let’s change it up a little.
Because Your Music Sucks And You’re An Asshole
To the girl in green, don’t be so mean!
Clap ya hands everybody
And everybody clap ya hands
