YOU KNOW THIS IS GOTTA TAKE YOU BACK TO YESTERYEAR
I USE TO WATCH SOUL TRAIN IN THE 70’S AND I REMEMBER MOST OF THESE DANCES, LORD THE CLOTHES I USE TO WEAR AND NOW SEE 35 YRS LATER HOW THE STYLES WERE BACK WHEN, BUT HEY IT IS WHAT IS WAS, AND THAT WAS THE STYLE. WOW I USE TO GET UP SATURDAY MORNINGS HERE IN NEW YORK CITY TO WATCH SOUL TRAIN AND THEN TRIED TO IMITATE WHAT I SAW AND HAD A GOOD TIME DOING IT. SO GOOD TO FEEL GOOD, SO GOOD TO REMEMBER THE HAPPY TIMES, I KNOW I DID, AND AS YOU CAN SEE EVERYONE SMILING AND HAVING A GOOD TIME, YOU CANT ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN THAT. THESE ARE WONDERFUL MEMORIES AND GOODL TIMES AND AS YOU CAN SEE ALL ARE VERY HAPPY IN THE MOMENTS OF THE GREAT 70’S. YOU KNOW WE PARTY RIGHT ON DOWN THE SOUL TRAIN LINE AT BLOCK PARTIES,AND BASEMENT PARTIES AND YOU KNOW AT THE DISCO’S WE DID IT ALL THE TIME. JUST SMILING FACES AND EVERYONE HAVING A GOOD TIME. IT WAS TOUGH BUT WHEN SOUL TRAIN WAS ON, WE SIMPLY SMILE & THAT 1 HOUR AND ENJOY IT & IF ANYONE WAS ON THIS SHOW, PLEASE LET ME KNOW, IT WOULD BE GREAT. PLEASE POST IT HERE I AM SURE OTHERS WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHERE ARE YOU IN THE VIDEO. PLEASE READ BELOW

Religious “mission trip” individuals, your next planned trip to Russia and
China too, leave you books in your church building…go there with nothing
but the Holy Spirit within. Point the lost, the sinners, the children to
Jesus, NOT a dead book. Lead them to get onboard the “Love” train with
Jesus in their heart, and the new spirit, Holy Spirit, in their being… He
Is the “ticket” to be able to ride on the “Love” train. NOT a dead book!
Love.

And just like back in day: I “claim” that Im the sister in the white blazer
and red outfit dancing with dude in the gray
@rottenbuffalo …..Ha ha ha that is probably the best piece of advice i’ve
had in the last 40 years…….good for the soul.
the best two items of clothing ever invented bell bottom pants/ jeans and
platform shoes!!!
YES. Why don’t people dance like this anymore? :’) it’s so much more fun
this way..
I love Soul Train my whole life. Love watching these kids dance and its
such wonderful, amazing music. Oh to go back to the early 70s… at least
we have these nostalgic glimpses of sweeter days 🙂
A very sad day. May he rest in peace. We need the good vibes this show
fostered now more than ever.

Awesome timeless ~ Thank YOU 🙂
RIP Don. May the earth lie lightly on his ashes.

Bit of advice, reality is for losers. Keep chilling out to Love Train like
you did 40 years ago…….mmmmm cool!
What a fab vid!! OMG…I MISS Soul Train!
Rest in Peace, Don
@metoyu38 Black people are the same now as we were then….It all depends
on who YOU know and what you expose yourself to. There is no difference at
all…..We had gang violence shootings and deaths just like today….I
still know young people that live and enjoy a life like we did during Soul
Train days…..You need to change your friends and the crowd you run in, if
thats what you see……
I’m older than you, Caucasian, know I can’t dance. I always wanted to be
cool but I’m about to give up and accept reality.
Dang I wish I was born back then..would of had a good ass time rockin my
Afro!!! Lmao!
@pattyfromtoledo ……and long may it continue.
May God bless Don Cornelius. He’ll be missed!
remember we use to dance like that and wear them same styles…those was
some fun days…I know this ain’t about Stevie Wonder but he said it best
and made it sound soooooo dayum gooood. I wish those days could come back
once more, why did those days ever had to go, cause I loved them
sooooo…man! they can do everything but bring back them days…God is
soooooo good and so are fond memories.
@68blues, btw, my instructor is bald too and he is 67!
MAN !!!! black people were beautiful back then, and im not talking about
the physical im talking about the soul, the inner beings, now today we call
each other niggers like it aint nothing, i didnt hear that kind of thing
growing up in the 70’s and 80’s, The older brothers wud look out for both
the younger boys and girls when i was growing up now we will kill each
other faster than wat we wud killing a dog, DAMN SHAME!!!!
IT WAS BACK IN THE DAY WHEN THINGS WERE NOT SO COMPLICATED. WE HAD JOBS M-F
AND WHEN SATURDAY CAME AROUND WE WOULD GO FROM ORANGE COUNTY, CA TO LOS
ANGELES TO TAPE TWO SHOWS OF SOUL TRAIN. WHEN SOUL TRAIN WENT OFF THE AIR
DON CORNELIUS MISSED SOUL TRAIN. HE MISSED THE ENERGY, THE SMILING FACES,
AND US, WHO TREATED HIM AND EACH OTHER WITH RESPECT. RIP DON
I think this is the best song to remember Don Cornelius by.
i showed my 13 year old brother the soul train videos and e decided to
blast the 70s tunes and do our own soul train dancing ,i think for 2 white
people we broke it down rather good 😀
I you’re watching this, you’re cool!
I wonder where are all these dance now a day I hope they are alive and
well.
I am 59, bald, white and can’t dance like any of these guys, but for some
reason i am still under the impression that i’m cool. Ignorance is bliss.
@68blues, I am 63 and perform Thriller and other Michael Jackson songs. I
am also currently taking a dance class on how to dance like Michael. There
are hip-hop dance classes for seniors, so go find a dance studio that
teaches it, dude! It will be great for your health and a whole lot of fun!
You can thank the condescending/disgusting rap lyrics; encouraging black
animal gang behavior like its kewl to go out and gang bang and shoot each
other up. This has been going on since the early 1990’s.
RIP. Love, peace and soul!!
RIP Don, many many thanks.
Blame the Stupid Rap Producers & Ignorant Hip Hop producers for churning
out Degenerate Thug Gangster low life Crap music and making these young
black males think its cool to murder & kill and dress like they got their
clothes out of a Trash Dumpster !
I’m at 0:59!! I’m loving these vintage clips….And I can still get down
like that…..Well….After a drink or two!! LOL!!!
@68blues, glad to be of help, and yes, it is good for the soul.
Right On!
A true classic that will live on forever
