The music today is what killed Soul Train. People stopped dancing across
from each other. Now they just grind on top of each other, that shit ain’t
entertaining. I miss these old Soul Train days on Saturday morning. You
would go back to scholl and say; “damnn did you see Soul Train this
weekend?” to all your friends, or they would say it to you. And if you
missed it, you missed it jack! There was no recording on dvr’s back then ..
if you missed you it you missed lol im telling you. And if you missed it ..
your friends would say, “oh dammmm you shouldn’t have missed it this
weekend .. Run Dmc was on and they killllllled it!” then you’re like, “ah
for reallll? damn we had to go to this stupid party for my punk ass cousin
who i don’t even know” :(
All due RESPECT to the 70’s era of ST, but THIS is the era I clearly
identify with. The JHERI CURL ERA !!!!! (HAHAHAHAHA!!) 80’S synth funk!! My
Saturday afternoon ritual b/f watching would be a bottle of sprite and a
bag of DORITOS (in the classic see-thru bag). I had to be 6-9 y.o. around
this era. Perfect time to be a kid!!!
ilike this song obryan soultrain s a comin in 1983 and I watched the soul
train from 1976 to 19 90 and I missyou don Cornelius so much may rip sign

Sid-Soul Train the hippest trip in America with guest stars Con Funk
Shun,Angela Bofill and the Soul Train dancers and now here’s your host Don
Cornelius.
Don-What’s happening gang you’re right on time for another ride on the big
train,we’ll be coming right back at cha’ with another hot one from Prince
right after some very important messages.
This was the third of “Soul Train’s” three most memorable theme songs —
the other two being the Soul Train Gang’s “Soul Train ’75” theme from
1975-77 and, of course, MFSB’s “TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia),”
“Soul Train, the hippest trip in America with guest stars Michael Jackson,
Musical Youth, and the Soul Train Dancers. And now here’s your host Don
Cornelius.” “Hello and welcome aboard the big train. We’ll have a song from
Duran Duran right after these very important messages.
Yeah, this was for sure the Soul Train theme in the early 80’s, and I still
think the best one…sure the MFSB track “The Sound of Philadeplhia” was a
70’s disco/soul classic, but this track really brings the FUNK, main- for
sure O’Bryan’s funkiest achievement on wax
OBryan is a bad dude. They need to represent with him one year on the Bet
Music awards, cause there is no denying some grooves and babies was made
listening to his jams
