How on earth is this not viral!? This is probably the best response video
to Blurred Lines that I’ve seen so far. (and this is coming from someone
who hates Robin Thicke’s take on the song)
I like this vid but I’m disappointed at all the renditions to Blurred Lines
and everyone acts as if they’ve never heard “Got to Give it Up”. Marvin’s
ORIGINAL version was actually on Soul Train. At least teach your kids to
respect the originators.
Then and Now.. thats what it all about.. This is what we were tryin’ to
give to our children which was at least somewhat decent and, respectful
back in the day! ..It seems like they just didn’t get it,huh? Look at the
young folks on that dance floor.. they are the parents of todays adults.
..you go figure! Bond St.Boo.
Jodie Whatley and Jeffery of Shalamar are in there some where.A lot of
great acts came from Soul Train, Rerun (from What’s Happening) and the
Lockers etc.
You can pretty much put any dance track to Blurred Lines and it will match
up. Someone put Blurred Lines to the opening of The Cosby Show and there is
dancing in just about all his openings and it matched up about the same.
Now im pretty sure whats was the favorite tv show for The bigggest ever
Michael Jackson !!! SOUL TRAIN , black people rules the dance floor
definetly !!! From Venezuela , my respect to all American dancers ! you got
the BEAT !
Well, yah, but Blurred Lines couldn’t get us up like that. That’s the
point. NO editing…that’s a beat! You just slap the track on Marvin’s vid
and say, “new”? yeah NO! LOLOL There’s nothing to do! That’s why it’s so
funny. One thing for sure. That Kmart-jingle upstart was NO threat
whatsoever to the Marvin Gaye franchise. Filarious! And in no way would
Blurred Lines have us moving like THAT! RoflmBao1 Thicke-head cashing in on
copies of copies of Blacks and Gayes is SO OVER. TG!
ah the good ol’ daze….
When the negro really danced and before the negro sold the soul for the
crack rock.
Ha ha ha ha …. great work !!!!!
brilliant
Cool man
Nice edit job, this really supports the Gaye family in their suit against
Thicke. Damn the rhythm is so close to Got to Give it Up by Marvin.
Outstanding!

Another stereotype dispelled; not ALL black people can dance….

I can’t stand looking at Robin Thicke but this is a video I can get
behind!!

That was Awesome. All that’s missing is two people doing the BUMP down the
SoulTrain line.

great music is TIMELESS!
Excellent video editing! A+
That’s amazing that you were able to find old Soul Train Soul Line clips
with dancing that matches the Burred Lines rhythm. Good job.
