Soul Train Line Dance to Aretha Franklin Rock Steady: http://youtu.be/oFODu0AG194
Are you not happy? Is this what you want!!!!!
#FRIDAYNIGHTDANCEPARTY
these chicks of today couldn’t move like this….wigs flying to the other
side of the room over the camera lens. big booties knocking down
everything in their way. brothas slipping up on fallen eyelashes. the
grunts, the groans LOL
Don Cornelius would personally shoot you if you didn’t know how to get down
on his show….splains the pressure these poor kids felt on that
line…dangerous times man.
This definitely before my time, but this is the best Soul Train! 70s, to
late 80;s Early 90’s it started to fade. I like how everyone is grooving
and having a good time!
Homedude at 2:18 – 2:38 in the black and blue earned his Kentucky Fried
Chicken this episode. Dude had that robot down like nobody’s business. I
am going to master that move there along with Jimmy’s (aka Scooby Doo)
moves as well when he went down the line during the beginning of the song.
Too bad all they got was a two piece chicken lunch. They needed to get
PAID! I guess it was not in the budget…but they were baaaad dancers.
If you grew up in L.A. between 71-77 and you attended Washington, Locke,
Dorsey, Crenshaw, or Fremont..then I KNOW you remember standing on line at
the KTTV studio just waiting , hoping to be picked for a session. You
sat around all day on the and often went home “empty handed” but once in a
while you struck pay dirt. Oh to just go back to have one GLORIOUS day in
70’s L.A.
I hope this does not come off too critical but Soul Train changed a lot
after it went Hollywood. In this video for example you notice that more
people came down the line at the same time. But perhaps the most glaring
difference was that after a while the men in particular became a lot more
feminine, not in their dress, but just gay men. The original Soul Train
had boys dancing with their girls a lot more; later it morphed into more
show-offs and finally downright grandstanding. Then it changed to boys in
one line and girls in another. If you disagree, compare the guys in this
video to the ones in the “For the Love of Money” line. Of course, by the
time they added the stripper pole and that girl from Korea or wherever with
the long hair, it was a totally different show. Give me Damito Jo any day!
My man at 2:19 in the blue shirt was doing a possessed robot. He said im
gonna find the camera and stare right into it, and scare the hell out of
everybody watching this program.
Who over 40 was not in front of their TV at 11 am Saturday morning watching
Soul Train? Waiting for The Line and you and your brothers and sisters
were having your own Soul Train Line!!!!!! Sheeeeiiiiitttt!!!!!!

HUMP DAY :YES INDEED
Don calls Aretha “Crowned Princess Of Soul”? Wow. I guess she had to earn
the “Queen” title as time went on. LOL.
The aisles look dangerously narrow! Somebody at one time or another
must’ve been accidentally kicked or smacked in the head.
I am sitting here in tears and thinking: I LOVE MY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE! THANK
YOU HEAVENLY FATHER!
that’s a weird dance
Something I notice right off the bat is how much thinner the people were
back then than they are now.
I love checking out the clothes they wore way back in the day.

night or two with her! Rock steady alright!
Anybody know where I can find a flux capacitor for my time machine lol
