Rest in peace, Don. We perform this tune in a band I perform in, Mind, Body
and Soul. We are people of the mighty, mighty people of the sun, in our
hearts lies all the answers to the truth you can’t run from.
“Exodus 21:24 (as amended) – eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand,
foot for foot, cotton-picking job for cotton-picking job.” New
International Version of the Bible. Thursday, August 22, 2013 (Common Era),
9:08 P.M. (Earth – USA – Eastern Standard Time).
Nowadays if what happened at 1:34 were to take place, the guy in the line
would run out to his car and pull out a handgun. That’s if he didn’t have
it on him.
Whoaaa! they need 2 bring then dances back! OMG!!! Look @ them platforms! i

@Blakmajik78 Notice the trend? i never knew soul train line was co-ed.
Every since I was a kid, the gender was separated. A family that dances
together stays together.
@Blakmajik78 “You could go to huge gathering and not have to worry about
somebody pulling out a gun or fighting.” I like Chris Rock’s idea: make
bullets cost about $5000 each.
@Blakmajik78 – I graduated from HS in 1973. Nobody carried a gun or a knife
in my school. There were still lots of fights, but I never saw anyone
seriously hurt.
, This song came out in my Senior Year of high school. I watched Soul
Train every saturday. My sisters and I practiced the dances while watching
the Show. I sure miss being able to do those dances. I Remember laughing at
the Lawrence Welk Show when all the old people would dance to their old
boring music. At least they could still dance to it. When our generation
get’s that old we definately WON’T be able to do our old dances…..

This was a time when black folks wanted to have fun,was creative, trend
setters and took pride in how they represented themselves. They wasn’t
trying to be thugs walking around with their pants off of their asses or
angry bitches rolling their eyes and neck at everything. You could go to
huge gathering and not have to worry about somebody pulling out a gun or
fighting. Just was one big family reunion with people you didn’t even know!
Everybody wanted to party with black folks back then.
