I know it’s obvious, but it’s really amazing how the music changed since
this show went on the air in the early 1970’s. Anyhow, this is still a good
show.
Here in Arizona I’d watch American Bandstand Saturday mornings in the 80’s
at 10:30am-12pm and Soul Train from noon to 1pm and I’ll tell ya what…my
heart belonged to Bandstand, but my soul belonged to the Train! Miss you:(
I would like to see all of the complete episodes, not just the performers.
Seems like the DVD collection focuses more on the performances. I liked the
80’s and 90’s too, that’s when they really started focusing on the regulars
(dancers) — I’d love to watch all those shows again.
( dyslexic )..ILLUMINATI PUPPETS TO DUMB DOWN THE PEOPLE…MIND CONTROL
BRAINWASHING !!!…idols like this will make you into a druggling
zombie!!… illuminati mind controll .
One thing I always wanted to see was a Japanese version of this show,
basically the same program in a different language – “The hippest trip in
Japan…the SMILE Train!” Yeah, that’s who comes to mind as the host:
Apollo Smile. I though of this because Alyssa Milano & Bridgette Wilson
have quite a reputation in Japan as pop singers; yet both are vastly
under-appreciated for that in the USA.
I totally MISS that show! It was so cool! I live in Northern Ontario, so
Soul Train would expose us to the newest, coolest tunes! AND dance moves!
ha ha
Excellent find! To everyone, it is very true…Soul Train is going to
FINALLY be released on DVDs very soon! Soul Train DVD collection coming
soon 😉 KO SToRM
Don Cornelius — who famously created “Soul Train” was found dead in his
Sherman Oaks, CA home this morning … and law enforcement sources tell us
it appears he committed suicide. We’re told cops discovered the body at
around 4 AM PT. Law enforcement sources tell us … Cornelius died from a
gunshot wound to the head and officials believe the wound was
self-inflicted.
They need to release soul train in the 80s,90s up to early 00’s, all
episodes. Not really feeling the mid 00’s. I like the styles back then and
the dancers along with the performances. I remember watching Soul Train in
the 90s it was dope. If only we could go back to that time it would be so
awesome.
“Thick Thursday”!!! #PeaceLove&Soul
I don’t see not one thing from the eighties.
