When I hear this piece, it’s like Hydn to Et Exultavit as ST Theme Song to
Soul Train. Different genre’s of music but both are great classics.

‘N’ word usage etc. Back then, our musicians/artists had PRIDE in our
culture. I wish this sub-culture we have today would go away, far away….

album “Take Off” from off the record label RHA-GRAM in Guatemala in 1975

This is the one I really remember the best!! It was perfectly fitting for
those times, wasn’t it? In fact, when I was a kid I used to say “Hey, isn’t
that the Soul Train song?” when I’d hear TSOP!!
1973 also gave us: Barnaby Jones w/ the late Buddy Ebsen, Lee Meriwether,
and later joned by Mark Shera. Kojak w/ the late Telly Savalas, the
original $10,000 Pyramid w/ Dick Clark, Police Story among shows.

i remember hear this song when i was going to scool at age 19-20
and also, this song was out when Concentration moved from NBC to syn. and
the late Jack Narz was the host of the show for 5 straight years and
Concentration was A Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Production and Alex Trebek
hosted his 1st American Game Show The Wizard of Odds for NBC Produced by
Burt Sugarman who gave us The Midnight Special w/the late Wolfman Jack
greatest theme ever!!!!!!

Rookies called S.W.A.T. which debut in February of 1975 Starring Steve
Forrest, the late Robert Urich, Rod Perry, Mark Shera and James Coleman and
also, NBC gave us Police Woman Starring Angie Dickinson, Earl Holliman,
Charles Dierkop and Ed Bernard and CBS gave us TattleTales w/the late Bert
Convy and the debut of The Young and the Restless
This song, TSOP is, in my POV, the only one true theme song to SOUL TRAIN.

that would watch it every Sat and discuss it on Mon. at school.
