nervous as heck…u could clearly hear voice and it flowed well. U can’t

Ariana is one of the very few good pop singers out there, but….NO. Big no
here. She’s out of her league among this mature and truly soulful singers.
She’s too sweet and restrained, too pop and too controlled to sing a Tina
Turner 60’s classic made to be sung with raw, uncontrolled vocals and an
almost hard rock attitude. Ariana is a kitten and they needed a fucking
tigress, I mean…it’s a 60’s anthem, not a pop song for Disney!!!!
I would listen to Melissa sing the phone book. Been a fan pretty much since
I can remember. So happy she was here too!
Of course Ariana and Janelle don’t fit in. They were the two outliers from
this generation. The rest of the woman up there have been around for
decades (except Tessanne) and have age on them. Ariana and Janelle look
like kids next to them so it’s natural they don’t fit in. But they held
their own, especially given how light Ariana’s voice naturally is.
Every singer now needs to take notes from Patti on how to preserve a
voice!! That woman hasn’t lost a note of her range in her half century
career. It’s insane.
Lol I love how everybody is saying that Ariana didn’t belong up there but
no one is saying anything about Janelle Monae’s extra ass. Seriously that
shouldn’t even be called singing.
Ariana probably did the best out of all of them! Following her was probably
Tessanne and then Patti.
How can you have a “Women of Soul” concert and not invite Fantasia and
Jennifer Hudson? Fantasia and Jennifer Hudson should have been apart of
this.

invited to sing at the white house in the first place, I like to see half
of you on here go and sing better and of course she’s going to be nervous I
mean for heaven sakes the woman is not only singing in front of the
president of the united states but also in front of some of the greatest
women in music if I were her I’d be nervous has hell. I mean to sing
infront of singing legends like Patti Labelle and Jill Scott, and Janelle
Monáe, Melissa Etheridge, Aretha Franklin, even infront of someone has
amazing has Tessanne Chin I’d be a little intimidated too..but also be
honored has hell so I’ve give Ariana major props for going out there and
holding her own plus in my personal opinion I thought Ariana sounded
amazing in both her performances hell I probably wouldn’t have the guts to
go out there and do that! Hell if you were in Ariana’s shoes I hardly doubt
you would of turned down an amazing opportunity such has this. The rest of
the women up there have been around for decades except for Tessanne,
Janelle and even Ariana but they still sounded amazing regardless. Tessanne
and Janelle may have not been around for decades and may have not been
around has long has Melissa and Patti and even Jill and Aretha but they
still have more years on them compared to Ariana and I still be intimidate
to sing next to them has well so I can see why Ariana would be nervous to
sing next to such incredible singers, and to say they should have stayed in
their seats and watched and that they haven’t earned a spot next to Patti
yes they have they might of not been around for decades yet but they are
very talented and are amazing singers… they have definitely earned there
way to be up there, I like to see half of the people in here go up there
and do better since they like to talk a bunch of shit.
